On April 26, 2014 Mom! had its regional premiere in the Twin Cities.  Conceived in the early 90's soon after I became a mother, the premiere was the culmination of two decades of preoccupation, determination and a boatload of support. Soon after relocating to Chicago in 2004, I connected with my co-authors, Randi Wolfe and Judy Freed, in the musical writers' workshop at Theatre Building Chicago.  With workshop support we developed the show through a series of table readings, staged readings, and semi-staged performances.
